What’s the best time of year to visit Corsica?
In summer, the average temperature is 25°C. So, from June to September, you can look forward to beautiful sunny days. At times, the heat (up to 35°C) can be quite intense during the hottest months.
If you want to feel a pleasant coolness, you can get closer to the peaks (above 1,600 m altitude), which are always covered in white.
Want to enjoy the pleasures of the beach? In Corsica, the water temperature varies between 14°C and 25°C. The temperature is even higher in the warmer months. Winters are harsh in the mountain regions. There are 30 days of frost a year in Corte, compared with just 3 days in Bastia.
Thinking of coming in spring? Autumn? The rest of the year offers attractive temperatures. From October to March, temperatures vary mainly on the coast, between 14°C and 20°C: good to know! The coasts are spared the violent rains and floods that affect mountainous regions.
Because of these ideal temperatures, May-June and September-October are very good times to come to Corsica. The weather is much the same as in summer, and you can enjoy the area more peacefully, avoiding the summer crowds.
